Hi, okay I really need to work on how to start my writing. Yeah okay, let’s pretend that never happened and start from the beginning. Alright, so today I have some interesting things to tell you. Actually, I have a lot of interesting things to tell you. Today we’re going to be talking about Hollywood and Los Angeles. Also, I guess I’ll be talking about California too, because Los Angeles is in California. So, this is going to be interesting. Now by interesting, I mean interesting. Like, you’re probably expecting me to, you know, write like all of those authors who write facts about things, and they make it really boring, so you fall asleep reading like half of the book. Well, no I am not going to do that. I obviously know that you won’t enjoy reading something like that. So, I decided to make a writing that is about facts with a sense of humor. Like, I am going to write this, and try my best not to make the facts boring. I will try to make the facts actually enjoyable and entertaining, so you can learn and have a good time while you are reading this. Anyway, if you are the kind of person who likes a mixture of entertainment and learning at the same time, then let me tell you, you’re at the right place. Also, if you don’t, then maybe this writing will change your mind. Anyway, since I’ve explained what this writing is going to be about, let me get into the actual writing.
To get things started, alright, let me give you some information on Los Angeles before I get to the main thing. Los Angeles is a city that is in California which is one of the states of the United States of America. Now, you probably heard of America, and if you haven’t then, you’re probably a newly born baby. Because I can’t possibly imagine any human who is at least five years old not hearing of America even once. That’s because America is one of the most popular countries. You can also call it the United States or USA. Now, the US is popular because of many things. One of these things is California which is one of the states in the United States. California is one of the most popular states in the United States and it probably even is the most popular state in the United States. Let me tell you why. If you do live in California, then you probably know why. Anyway, if you don’t, then let me tell you. One reason California is popular is because of their theme parks.
Like, Disneyland which everyone probably knows of, Universal Studios, you might have heard of them from one of their movies, and Six Flags, I actually never went to Six Flags, so I might not be able to give you that much information on it. Anyway, let’s start with Disneyland. Disneyland has amazing rides to say the least. They do have a height limit though. You can’t ride any rides if you are not the height they recommend. Their rides are still fun though. Trust me. One of their rides is Indiana Jones which is based on a film series. It’s said to be one of their scariest rides. I mean I rode it and it was interesting to say the least. Let me just say, if you’re a person who is scared of heights and you don’t like shaky rides, then you shouldn’t ride Indiana Jones. Anyway, when my uncle actually rode Indiana Jones, he had a heart attack. By heart attack, I don’t mean an actual heart attack of course. I just meant he did not like it. Nope, he got pretty scared after that, and we had to force him to ride the rest of the rides.
Anyway, if you’re wondering, Disneyland has nine different lands, and every one of them has a bunch of rides. The lands include Adventureland, Critter Country, Fantasyland, Frontierland, Main Street U.S.A, Mickey’s Toontown, New Orleans Square, Star Wars : Galaxy’s Edge, and Tomorrowland. Yeah, Disneyland is pretty big. Anyway let’s move on to Universal Studios. Universal Studios is basically the scarier version of Disneyland. It’s been a long time since I went to Universal Studios, so I might not be able to give you a lot of information on it. Well, Universal Studios also has some amazing rides, like Jurassic World, Revenge of the Mummy, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey, the Studio Tour which has a lot of rides in it, and many more rides.
Now let’s start with Jurassic World. Pretty good ride overall. There are some shaky moments especially at the end. Also, in the end the ride goes down extremely fast, so if you’re afraid of heights I would not recommend for you to ride Jurassic World. But it does have amazing visuals, along with spectacular sound and effects that actually make you feel like you’re in the ride. Oh yeah, I forgot to mention this, but Jurassic World is a ride that is about dinosaurs. Jurassic World also has amazing dinosaur animatronics. They actually look like real life dinosaurs. I have to say that Universal Studios did a stupendous job of making their dinosaur animatronics. Also, in the end of the ride, just before you fall down extremely fast, there is this ginormous dinosaur waiting for you. It looks like the dinosaur is going to eat you, but just before he does you fall down. Also, Jurassic World is based on a film series. Alright the next ride I will tell you about is Revenge of the Mummy. Some people say Revenge of the Mummy is the scariest ride in Universal Studios. Well, Revenge of the Mummy is a pretty scary ride indeed, but if you are a daredevil, then the Revenge of the Mummy is a perfect ride for you. Anyway, the Revenge of the Mummy has good visuals as well, and at the end you go backwards. So, warning if you don’t like rides that are petrifying, then don’t ride Revenge of the Mummy.
Okay, let’s talk about Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey next. Well, I am a big fan of Harry Potter, so I am tremendously exhilarated to talk about this ride. Anyway the ride is amazing. Like the visuals alone make you feel like you’re in the Harry Potter world. Then, mixing it with the sound and then adding the effects like a dragon breathing fire, makes a terrific combination. Alright now let’s get into what the Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey ride is about. Basically, the ride combines all the Harry Potter movies and turns it into a quick summary. But don’t be disappointed, because trust me, the summary is worth your money. The action in the ride is spectacular. The ride takes you to the best moments from the Harry Potter series. You could see the first time Hogwarts was introduced, Harry’s first time playing quidditch, Ron’s fear of spiders, the dragon from the Goblet of Fire movie, and finally the death eaters scene. There are many other things, but I just mentioned the most important things. Anyway, Harry Potter and the Forbidden Journey is a fabulous ride overall.
Next let’s talk about the Universal Studios’ Studio Tour. The Studio Tour has many rides in it. The host of the studio tour is Jimmy Fallon himself, who if you didn’t know, is also the host of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, which is a talk show. When you enter the ride the first thing you’ll be able to see is the wreckage from the 2005 film, War of the Worlds. It’s pretty devastating. The next thing you’ll see is the shark from the movie Jaws. Let me tell you, the shark is not friendly, so don’t try to get near him. Anyway, the next thing you’ll experience is the King Kong 360 3-D ride. Pretty good ride. Also, it has awesome visuals. Universal Studios is totally outstanding when it comes to their visuals. The next thing you’ll see is the Bates Motel from the 1960 film Psycho by Alfred Hitchcock. After that, you’ll see behind-the-scenes from some famous movies. It’s pretty entertaining to watch. The last thing you’ll experience before the ride ends is the Fast & Furious – Supercharged ride, which is based on the Fast & Furious film series. This ride also has spectacular visuals. Anyway, this is the end for all of the Universal Studios rides. Let’s get into the next theme park. The next theme park we will be covering is Six Flags. I never went to Six Flags, so I can’t give you that much information. From what I’ve seen their rides are pretty good. I think they have a section for each age group, so that’s pretty cool. In addition, alright let me tell you a little bit about the history of California next. California was originally owned by Mexico. Then, in 1848 it finally got separated from Mexico and in 1850 California was declared the thirty-oneth state of the United States. Now, California is a state of its own. Anyway, that’s the reason why there are so many Mexicans in America. Also, thirty percent of the people who live in California learn to speak Spanish as their first language. Anyway, the US also has a lot of other enthralling things, such as the Grand Canyon and the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge and the Grand Canyon are not in California, but they’re still in the United States. The Grand Canyon is a deep area with a lot of old rocks. The rocks have a lot of history, as they represent a lot of things. Anyway, you can visit the Grand Canyon anytime since it is a national park. But be warned, because the Grand Canyon is extremely deep.
The Grand Canyon is two hundred seventy-seven miles long, eighteen miles wide, and six thousand ninety-three feet deep. Yeah, the Grand Canyon is pretty deep. Oh yeah, I forgot to tell you, the Grand Canyon is located in Arizona, which is another state of the United States. Next let me tell you about the Golden Gate Bridge. The Golden Gate Bridge is in San Francisco which is another state of the United States. The Golden Gate Bridge is really long. How long exactly? Well, let me tell you. The Golden Gate Bridge is eight thousand nine hundred eighty-one feet long, and ninety feet wide. The Golden Gate Bridge is the ninth longest bridge in the world. When it first was constructed in 1937, it was the longest bridge in the world. But in 1964 the Verrazano Narrows Bridge took its spot. Anyway, that’s the Golden Gate Bridge for you. To close off, let’s finish off by talking about Los Angeles and Hollywood. Los Angeles was first founded on September 4, 1781 by the Spanish governor Felipe de Neve. It was a small, unpopular Mexican town until 1885. Which is exactly thirty-seven years after California was separated from Mexico. The reason being is that the Santa Fe railroad line was constructed in 1885. The Santa Fe railroad line went from Chicago to Los Angeles. So people from Chicago started to come to Los Angeles. That was the start of how Los Angeles grew. From then on, Los Angeles has become famous for many things. One of these things is Hollywood. Hollywood is famous because of their film industries. Lots of famous movies were filmed in Hollywood, or the production of the movie was in Hollywood.
Many famous actors all around the world come to Hollywood every year to attend the Oscar. In the Oscars many awards are given out. For example, in 2019 the best movie award went to the 2018 film Green Book, and the award for the best short film went to the 2018 short film Bao. Also, Hollywood has a lot of theaters, where you can watch the latest movies. Such as, Avengers: Endgame, Joker, Birds of Prey, Extraction, Spider-Man: Far From Home, Dark Phoenix, Captain Marvel, and Shazam. Also, this is not part of the writing, but if you want to know, here are some upcoming movies, Venom: Let There Be Carnage, Shazam! 2, Spider-man: Into the Spider Verse 2, Deadpool 3, Black Adam, The Batman, The Flash, The New Mutants, Black Widow, Shang-Chi and the Legend of the Ten Rings, The Eternals, Morbius, Thor: Love and Thunder, Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, Black Panther 2, Captain Marvel 2, and Artemis Fowl. Yeah, there is going to be a lot of movies to keep us busy. Anyway, I am extremely intoxicated to watch the new upcoming movies. Especially Artemis Fowl, I have been waiting a long time for Disney to finally make an Artemis Fowl movie.
Hollywood also has some museums you can explore. Such as, the Guinness Museum, Wax Museum, Believe It or Not museum, and many more. The museums have a lot for you to explore. I think one of them even has a Michael Jackson statue. Anyway, there are also a lot of restaurants in Hollywood too. Hollywood has many restaurants that have delicious food. If you ever want to visit Hollywood, then you might be interested in taking a look at one of their restaurants.
Anyway, I think I should go a little bit more deep in Hollywood’s history. Hollywood was first established in 1853, with only a single hut. Yeah that’s right, there was nothing but just a single hut in Hollywood. But it all changed when Hobart Johnstone Whitley, who is called the father of Hollywood came. Hobart Johnstone wanted to make a town where Hollywood would be later on. Since the land was pretty big, Hobart decided he could make a town there. But he still didn’t know what to call his new town. One day when he was on a honeymoon with his wife, he decided to go hiking and see where his new town would be, high up from the mountains. He hiked up to one of the mountains and started to look at where his town would be. Just then, a Chinese man came. Hobart asked the Chinese man what he was doing. The Chinese man replied, “Holly-wood.” Which was supposed to mean “Hauling wood.” Just then, it hit Hobart. He should name his new town Hollywood. So from then on, you probably know what happened. Hobart probably never expected that his town would become one of the world’s most popular places. Interesting, right? Anyway, I guess I should talk about the Hollywood Walk of Fame. The Walk of Fame has over two thousand stars made out of terrazzo and brass embedded in the sidewalks of Hollywood. Each of the stars include the names of many famous entertainers and fictional characters. There are the names of many famous actors, musicians, directors, producers, theatrical groups, fictional characters, and others. The Walk of Fame is a pretty famous thing in Hollywood. This was… I ran out of words to even describe this writing. But I know one thing for sure, and that is that this was one of my most favorite writings I wrote. It was really interesting because I had to learn information using many different resources. I learned so much while writing this, and I hope that other people learned a lot about the US too. I think that everything I wrote in this writing is something that I will remember for a long time. Anyway, if you’re reading this that means you have read through my whole writing.
