লেখার উপর Comment করুন, লেখককে নয়….

BCCB তে পোস্ট করা লাখ টাকার কানাডা এবং বাসন মাজি লেখাটি এবং এর উপর কিছু কমেন্টের উপর ভিত্তি করে এই লেখা।

ইউরোপে থাকতে ওদের কাছে শুনতাম কানাডিয়ানরা সহনশীল, শান্তিপ্রিয় , নম্র , পরিবশেষ প্রেমী, ধৈর্যশীল এবং whimsicle বা sentimental না। এখানে এসে এই দীর্ঘ দিনে তার প্রমান কম বেশি পেয়েছি কিন্তু এই দেশেই বাশ করে আমরা কেন এতো অধৈর্য বা অসহনশীল বা সেন্টিমেন্টাল হয়ে যাই। কারো কোনো উক্তি, বর্ণনা বা মতামত যদি ভালো না লাগে সেটা সম্মানের সাথে যুক্তি দিয়ে বললেই হলো, আর তাছাড়া ভিন্ন মতামত থাকতেই তো পারে, তাই বলে যেমন কিছু ঘটনার জন্য এই দেশটিকে বা এদেশের মানুষকে তুলোধনা করবো বা কেউ কোনো মন্তব্য করলে তাকে এ দেশ ছাড়তে বলবো এটা কেমন কথা। ভাই বোনেরা একটু ধৈর্য ধরুন, দুই একটি anocdotal এভিডেন্স এর জন্য যদি পুরো কানাডাকে দোষী করে এবং বেঈমান বলে তাতে যেমন কানাডার কিছু আসে যাই না আবার কারো এ ধরণের কোনো মন্তব্য করলে তাকে এ দেশ ছেড়ে চলে যেতে বলাও আমাদের কোনো অধিকার নেই।

তবে হা আমাদের যেমন সুখের ঘটনা বর্ণনা করতে হবে তেমনি কষ্টের কথাও লিখতে হবে কারণ এ থেকে অনেকের অনেক উপকার হতে পারে। আর এ ধরণের লেখার ফলে যে যুক্তিযুক্ত বা respectful কমেন্ট হয় তা থেকে অনেক শেখার থাকে এবং অনেক সময় ভালো আলোচনার উদ্ভাবন হয়। সত্যি বলতে কি এই অল্প দিনে কিছু লেখা এবং কমেন্টের মাধ্যমে জানা শোনা হয়েছে অন্তত ২০/২৫ জন খবু potential skilled immigrants দের  সঙ্গে, এদের অনেকেই newcomer . আমি যেমন উনাদের কাছ থেকে অনেক কিছু জেনেছি, উনারাও অনেক উপকৃত হয়েছেন।  কিছু newcomer মাত্র ২/৩ মাসে যে প্রগ্রেস করেছেন সেটা আমি নিজে করতে বছরের বেশি লেগেছে তাই আমি মনে করি এখানে এডমিনের নীতি মেনে তথ্যমূলক ঘটনাগুলি আমাদেরকে জানালে তার থেকে যেমন আমরা অনেক কিছু জানবো আবার সেই তথ্যের উপর কমেন্টের মাধমেও অনেক কিছু জানবো, এবং অনেককে চিনবো। তবে সতর্ক থাকতে হবে আমরা যেন শুধু কমেন্টের উপর মন্তব্য করি কমেন্ট কারীকে নয়। উক্ত লেখাটির কিছু কমেন্টের সাথে আমি agree.

First of all we should appreciate the writer for the candid expression of the experience. The fact is struggle, more or less we all have to go through that, and I including many Canadians think Canadian system yet to be improved, especially to accommodate the skilled immigrants. Things are happening but not as fast as it should be.

At the same time we also need to be strategic and to change the direction of our sail when the wind is not in our favor. Sometimes we do not get right guidance, right direction, right information or even right encouragement but those who get they can reach their goals rather earlier. 15 years before I knew only 1 Bangladeshi sister in my profession, a brother in a bank and another brother in a shipping company as an engineer but today I myself gave about 30-40 people reference, 90% of them are working in their profession, and about 50 others I know who are in other profession, still if you did the math with the number of skilled immigrants in their profession it would be low, so what can we do.

We could keep pressure our local policy makers, help each other to give right direction, right guidance and tell the truth. If you got the right direction, information, guidance and followed those with dedication and commitment I am sure you could reach your goals in time, not necessarily right away. There are a little number of people who do not want to start again, do not want to go through the ordeals, do not want to learn something new but want to get into their profession, for those Canada could be hell, sorry about that. A number of times I had conversation with would be immigrants in Bangladesh, they do not want to believe if I tell them about the possible struggle here, if they believed they would not be surprised upon their arrival and things could have been easier, so again a candid expression without generalization and judgement could be very helpful for the upcoming skilled immigrants.

I myself had to go through the same struggles as the writer mentioned, however by the grace of Almighty skilled immigrants who are coming recently are not facing the similar barriers like me, and most of them are getting their desired profession pretty quicker than us. AGAIN, I say please do not be judgmental and do not generalize, rather when someone is frustrated or having hard time, losing confidence please support him/her as much as you can at your capacity.

I know people who worked in a great profession with decent earning in Bangladesh are now working relatively simpler job here in Canada but living much more safer and happier life. I would say this country is not a heaven, yet despite the shortcomings of some the systems it is a beautiful country and over the decades it has been helping 100s of 1000s immigrants to materialize their hope/dream, therefore I would still encourage people to come here if they want to live in a safe, secured and peaceful environment; only they should be aware of the fact, and in this era of social network that is not impossible! For those who are still struggling please find someone near you, who is nonjudgmental, who care about you, who listen to you and most importantly walk with you and figure out with that person how you can proceed. Believe me there are still that kind of people here, just need to find out because they do not sing their own song, they do not necessarily show up but they do their deed silently.
