Hope is a slippery thing. If you don’t hold onto it tight enough, you’ll forget what it is.
But the thing about hope is that you need it to see the world in a way that won’t make you shrink away.
You’ll spend too much time focusing on the sad things that have occurred in your existence.
You’ll forget about the things that made your day, the things that make you glad to be alive.
And you’ll end up living life thinking about the unfortunate things that have happened rather than the
brilliant and exhilarating things.
But I’ll give you a tip if you ever find yourself thinking that hope is lost.
It’s found in the laughs of those battling things bigger than themselves.
It’s found in the smiles of the young and innocent.
It’s found in the way people piece themselves together after being shattered.
You see, hope is never lost. It’s hiding.
You just have to look.
Thanks a lot Lamia for penning down about this wonderful subject. Although this is one of the most important things in my current profession, I did not have such an in-depth understanding of it at your age. A hopeless person is like a living dead, no matter what else he/she has. You are so right, we must not dwell on what has passed away or what is yet to be, rather we need to find out our hidden hope and move on. Keep it up!
